Dystopian Society Interdisciplinary Unit
Global Studies and English created a unit together this year that began with an essential question about why their dystopian literature circle novels were written in the first place. Research was done on real world societies gone wrong, and students hand to compare real world societies to their dystopian societies to help determine why these novels may have been written. The culminating piece of this was a simulation created to help students understand the power struggle that takes place in a dystopian style society and how this struggle can impact citizens lives.
